Immediate Error Message

Jun 11, 2009 at 11:02 PM

I wanted to try this out (Win XP Pro).  I installed the trial of Expression Encoder 2.  When starting VideoEncoder.exe from any directory (I tried putting it in the Encoder 2 directory and other places), I get an immediate error message before any GUI starts up.  Microsoft wants to know if I want to send the error message to them.  This is what it contains:

EventType : clr20r3     P1 : videoencoder.exe     P2 : 1.0.0.0     P3 : 49b9787a
P4 : presentationframework     P5 : 3.0.0.0     P6 : 470bc696     P7 : 660b
P8 : e1     P9 : system.windows.markup.xamlparse

In case this is related to .NET framework, I've got 3.5 installed.  Expression Encoder 2 is installed in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Expression\Encoder 2

The error makes me believe it is a wpf issue, not sure why though.

I had the same problem, upgrade .net to 3.5 sp1 and you should be good to go.
